BBQ Chicken Pita Pizza in 10 Minutes

I found this recipe on Six Sisters Stuff and I am so HAPPY that I did! It was really so delicious and took 10 mintues AT THE MOST to make!

BBQ Chicken Pita Pizza in 10 minutes:

Ingredients:
2 soft pitas
1/4 cup BBQ sauce
2 Tablespoons of red onion, chopped
1/2 cup of mozzarella cheese, shredded
1/2 cup of Tyson's pre-cooked grilled chicken (found in the frozen section at walmart)

Directions:
Microwave your chicken until thawed. Then cut it into small pieces. Next spread your BBQ sauce on both Pitas. Put 1/4 cup of cheese on one pita and the other 1/4 of cheese on the other pita. Add your onions and chicken on both pitas and place on a microwaveable plate. Microwave one pita at a time for about 1 minute or until the cheese is melted. Using a pizza cutter, cut the pita into 4 slices. Serve it Hot!

*I also added green pepper and instead of warming it all together in the microwave I broiled mine in the oven for 1-2 mintues and it was soooo yummy!

Brynlee's 1st day of "Preschool"

Brynlee has been so sad because all of her friends are a little older than her and all started school this year. She still has two years before she starts Kindergarten so I decided I would do "preschool" with her twice a week at our home... she was SO EXCITED!!

Yesterday was her BIG DAY!!!

She found her "spot" for school

 reviewing colors & patterns

Needless to say she had the best day and afterwards gave me a big hug and told me thanks for making preschool so special! LOVE HER!!!

HAPPY WEDNESDAY!!

Toddler Chore Chart

I wanted Brynlee to start doing chores, but I also wanted them to be simple enough so that she didn't give up and is always able to accomplish them.

I decided to just make our every day routine into Brynlee's Chore Chart.

Take  A Look...

As I said I wanted it simple so this is what I came up with.

*Make your bed

*Eat breakfast

*Brush your teeth

*Get dressed

*Comb hair (by me of course!)

*Learn
(I try 15 minutes of practicing or quiet time.
She does flash cards, work books, read books, writes, colors.)

*Pick up toys or anything else mom and dad ask

I have put her chore chart in a page protector and every morning with a dry erase marker she can mark her chores off when they are done.

She actually really enjoys this and does it every.single.day! We are both proud at the end of each morning that this chart gets completed! She makes me a happy mommy!

Give this system a try with your little ones, just remember to customize the chart to your child's needs and somewhat interest.

Thanks for stopping by, have a great day! XOXO

The Weekend

I REALLY don't like how fast the weekends go by... and I really don't like that my mom goes back to work today... no more Summer fun... I am not sure what we will do with ourselves now??
The only good news is that it means it's getting closer to FALL (my favorite!!)

Tomorrow I am starting Pre-School just with Brynlee at our home. All of her friends are older than her and starting school and she has been so sad that she can't go to school. I will keep you updated on how that goes... she seems really excited!!

Over the weekend Justin's mom had a work party at the water park. We were so excited to go... until we got there and it started down pouring and blowing like crazy. Really?? After all the days this summer that it hasn't rained. Luckily we were still able to enjoy it and the girls had a fun time. Even if we were all shivering! Thanks Janet for taking us with you!:)

Kids Detangler=Favorite Product

One of my favorite products for my little girl is nothing special but makes a big difference for the both of us every single day!
Suave Kids Detangler, Soft & Smooth, Twirlin' Swirlberry

Brynlee's hair is long and when she gets out of the tub it really is all tangled together. Instead of listening to her complain about it hurting and trying to run from me when I comb out her hair, she sits quietly and doesn't complain once...
That makes one HAPPY MOMMY & DAUGHTER!

When she gets out of the tub I just spray a few sprays all over her hair and then comb it out and it really works!!

BEFORE:

 AFTER:

If you have a girl make sure to give this product a try.
It doesn't cost much money and will make combing out hair a lot easier!

HAPPY FRIDAY, HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND!

DIY Diaper Cakes

Diaper Cakes...
One of the easiest DIY baby gifts and really WOWs a crowd!!
I have made several Diaper Cakes over the past few years and each time I do I get so many compliments. Everyone enjoys looking at the diaper creation!
What You Will Need:
60-70 newborn diapers
60-70 rubber bands
3 large rubber bands
1 cardboard cake platter
one small bottle
one regular size bottle
double stick or regular scotch tape
ribbon
items to add to your cake
Directions:
Roll each diaper starting with the end that opens. Wrap a rubber band around each diaper. Once all diapers have been rolled place your regular size bottle in the center of the cake platter. Place diapers around bottle making the bottom layer of your cake. Once they are in place wrap one big rubber band around the layer to secure all diapers together. Continue the same step with your second layer. After the second layer is completed add your little bottle and then finish with your third layer of diapers.
When all layers are finished. I first add ribbon around the cake to cover all rubber bands. Second I start adding items you want on your cake. You can have the cake as simple or as full as you would like it. You can attach some items using tape others you can use little ribbon and tie them on.
Here are a few samples of the cakes I have made:
Girl Princess Diaper Cake

Boy Puppy Diaper Cake

You can see how simple Diaper Cakes are to create! Go ahead and try one and see the great reaction you get showing up with a Diaper Cake!

Fun, Fun, Fun!!

We have seriously had so much fun this summer. I am pretty sure we have had something to do almost every.single.day! Not that I am complaining. We have made some pretty awesome memories as a family!

Last week we were able to celebrate Justin's grandparents 60th wedding anniversary! That is a long time and a GREAT example of marriage! It was so fun spending time with family that we don't see often enough... especially Justin's brother and his family, that was the BEST surprise when we walked into the party and saw them (they now live in New Mexico, closer than Michigan so that's a plus!)

The girls with Great Grandma Francis

We took Ellie to the Dr. for her 1 year check up. She is doing great, healthy and weighing 20 lbs. She was so good for the Dr. and was more than happy to let them check her. She was pretty tough with her shots too (only cried for a split second) then got her first sucker so she thought that was great!

When we got home this is what Ellie climbed into while I was trying to do laundry
(she is such a little monkey!)

We had a fun filled day spending time with my grandparents, mom, nephew, aunt and her kids... bowling, laser tagging, and miniature golfing! Later that night we went out to dinner for uncle Jessen's birthday and had a great time!
